TGIMustard Seed. Thank the GOds for MS Cafe. You feel transported to a city more sophisticated than good old Akron when you sit up there looking down at the shoppers. Akron needs more places of this caliber. Live music most days - great brunch ( A REAL BRUNCH) and believe it or not FANTASTIC Sushi. Maybe it is expensive compared to every other souless deep fried econo-buy place in Akron but dining out needs to be more than fried pickles and bagged salad for some of us. Seriously try the sushi! Then go downstair and get some organic produce and start fighting the effects of years of oil-boiled chicken btown style.…
The employees love their jobs, and it shows.. I've been shopping at the Mustard Seed Markets for about 15 years. As a Dietitian, I know that over this time, I've eaten so many more nutrients, than I would have, if I had shopped at the neighborhood stores. I know that I can always trust the Mustard Seed for very good quality as well as humane, meat and dairy products. I only buy meat from the Mustard Seed. I buy many gifts there, I have attended many seminars (very interesting), and have eaten at both restaurants many times. Always good I take advantage of the many food items on sale monthly. And I always enjoy the free samples.…
Groceries With Character. This is a nice find in the Fairlawn area of Akron. Mustard Seed is located in the West Market Plaza not too far from I-77. This plaza is very busy but there is ample parking. The market is an ecclectic mix of homemade and non mass-produced goods, health and beauty supplies etc. They even have a nice selection of beers from around the world.…
