Do not agree. Checked the place out and with all the recommendations expected something more like flavor! The burger was average and the chili bland (the fries were good). Very overrated. A burger with a pound of canned mushrooms and some cheese anyone can do that. I think that everyone likes them so much because they have to wait so long to be served and get drunk before they sit down. Everything tastes good when your drunk and starving even bland tasteless burgers. Dont bring the kids. Good for adults who drink a lot. Chili very boring no spice at all.

Mamoth Burgers. White's has the best burger's in town. If you're new, start off with the Maggy burger - american cheese smothered with sauted mushrooms and onions

If you have a big appetite try the MACHO NACHOS - I don't think anyone has ever finished them.

Try the gas-can of beer.

Whitey's is worthless. I have been to Whitey's 3 times. All because friends or family wanted to go because they heard of the hamburgers. Each time I have been severly disappointed. Just speaking of food, my burgers have been undercooked, overcooked, and falling appart. The buns have been stale or soggy, and the fries were appaling. Now, I am not some 40 or 50 y/o regular, and it was obvious the workers disliked people they did not think "belonged" there, but my food has been crap even when I went with my father and his co-workers.

The Best. I have been around the world. I have eaten alot of food (I am 6'4" 300 lbs, I mean ALOT of food). Whitey's has the best single burger, the chili burger. Swenson's definately has its own character, but Whitey's is far beyond any burger in northeast Ohio.

BEST BURGERS. Whitey's has always been the "BEST BURGER" for me and my group and where someone from out -of -town wants a BURGER it's always WHITEY'S!!!!

However, in Akron, Ohio there is a little place everyone should go to try their "BURGER!" It would be too close to call!! The name is LOUIE"S, on Glenwood, in Akron,OH.

Here's the Beef. The best burger i have found so far. Piled high with condiments of your choice. Chili is by far the best around, which makes the Kiev burger a mouth watering pleasure.

Before good burgers were popular.... I discovered Whitey's over 20 years ago when, believe it or not, it was a tiny beer & burger joint in the middle of a cornfield on the way to not much! But me and my friends lived near by and well...the rest is history...by the way they make awesome chili, too!

Big Burgers. This place has the best hamburgers in all of Cleveland. They are so big you can even finish it all, but so cheap it won't clean out your wallet.

whiteys is the bomb. whiteys bugers are as bis as your head and the tastiest danm things you could ever have. ask for frank if you want a big bomb maggie buger.
