Crave - an Akron best bet. So there is nothing like Crave elsewhere in Akron - eclectic menu and sophisticated modern casual atmosphere. Maybe a little off-putting to the Barberton Chicken crowd, but I have found no other menu like it in Akron. It reminds me of home ( a bigger city ) If Akron is to EVER have a Renaissance, it needs to take a cue from Crave's ambition. Try the curried pork medallions - I have taken out-of-towners from Philadelphia and NYC to Crave - all to rave reviews...and most recently about 4 other local couples who all agreed that they did not know you could have a dining experience like this without leaving Akron. So it's not all breaded and deep friend - beliee me - that's a very good thing!

steadily going downhill. Long time customer who has seen food and service go consistently downhill. Owners are clearliy cutting corners on food preparation size of drinks etc.

They also have altered debit card reciepts by adding 20% to your total when you leave a cash tip.

Don't Believe The Hype. On my first visit to the Crave, I found the atmosphere to be very pleasant, upbeat and social but service wasn't good and food worst. First of all my party and myself were new customers, the waitress didn't bother explaining that numbers without dollar signs at the end of each menu item were the prices, she just had pencil in hand ready to write down our orders. I requested that my chili accompany my meal but the chili came early, tasteless and cold. My main course was very greasy and looked like it had just be thrown together 12 year old, very unappetizing. Hal- way through the meal, I just couldn't take the greasy half done food anymore, put down my fork and waited for the waitress who never once came by after serving us to see if we were enjoying our food. finally I asked another waitress who was passing to send our waitress. When she finally did come back to our table,I told her about my half eatten food but she said nothing, not even sorry or could we get you something else. She just took my half full plate away and later handed me a bill for the full amount. By then I was angry and wanted to see the manager. This (I will say frugal) female manager with a slight attitude problem, comes up to my table and tells me since I have consumed half of the food that I must paid the entire price for it even though the waitress had just dump the other half of my plate in the trash without my permission. Finally this non-profressional manger said that she will for this time only do me the favor of only charging me half price for my greasy entree. I paid and just got out of there and I will certainly never return to the Crave.
