Lunch-NO WAY; Dinner-OK.
I have been a frequent diner at this restaurant since it opened and can honestly say that I have NEVER had a bad meal. Although I agree with other reviewers that the menu seems limited-whatever I finally decide on does not disappoint. The restaurant is beautiful but I get annoyed that the staff doesn't wear name tags-I don't always remember the name and enjoy addressing and thanking someone by name.
Here's what I have to say-AVOID lunch! I cannot for the life of me figure out why this place can't seem to get a handle on lunch. The service is absolutely dismal at lunch even when the restaurant is empty-there always seems to be more employees than patrons. At best I can't get my water filled or at worst I'm waiting 2 hours for my meal (no exaggeration)!
On a positive note, dinner is 180 degrees the other way. food, service, atmosphere etc is ALWAYS top notch. The drink prices are high but they do serve Top shelf which is a plus. I don't care for the Lobster Nachos but the Lobster Bisque is wonderful! Any meat selection (or the scrumptious Scallops!) will please and the Bibb Wedge salad is the best!!
Lastly, the Patio they have open in the summer is without a doubt the most AMAZING option available in the Greater Cleveland area. Should stop to get a cocktail on the Patio in the summer-very enjoyable!
Hope this review helps-it's worth the trip but be prepared to spend your money!
Mediocrity at its best. Excellent service, friendly staff, decor from the mountain west that is very out of place and has little to do with the food. Food was mediocre. Steaks were very good but pretzel-crusted fish was nothing to write home about, salmon was over-done. Had lobster ravioli but the lobster was lost amongst the black beans and red/green peppers and completely over-powered by the odd addition of fresh dill which was accompanied by a pesto type sauce which would have stood well with the ravioli on it's own without the other accompaniments. Nice atmosphere but not really worth the price or the drive. Great views
If you want a fun place...Blue Canyon is it!. I love Blue Canyon, it's great for drinks and appetizers at the bar, or for a full on meal in one of their dining rooms. Their Sunday Brunch is WONDERFUL! I've always had wonderful service, knowledgable and friendly staff. I would recommend reservations, esp on weekends. The dining room thins out a bit after 9PM, so it's a great spot for a later dinner and possibly more romantic meal that some might be searching for.
Nice scenary/ski lodge, poor food. A bunch of us went to check out this place. It was a good drive from Cleveland and somewhat difficult finding parking in this out-of-way place. It's got a good outdoor bar (for the summer) and nice view from the "ski lodge". Other than that, the menu is fairly standard, with limited selections. Seems like you have to count on the specials to get through the meal. The place is not that romantic (unless you are there for some high class romantic burgers). The waitstaff seem like they were overworked and were very slow. By the time I got my meal, the fish was cold, and the veggie were undercooked (yes I prefer undercooked veggies to retain their crispness, but is is way undercooked). The rest of the people at my table did not eat even half of their meals. You should have seen the look of the person who took us out there and paid for the meal. If you like the ambiance, the bar scene and having fun in the summer, it's a cool place to hang out. If you are there to impress someone with the ambiance, it's nice as long as they don't know what decent food is about.
Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Restaurant serves American cuisine including seafood and steak entrees in lodge setting.
Best Burgers. Excellent place, reminds me of an Aspen Ski Lodge - very upscale type lodge. Good for a romantic evening out - fireplaces, balconies, has ambiance. All the steaks are great; the burgers are awesome, served w/ Gourmet Rosemary Fries in a cone - nice presentation for the kids. You can enjoy fine dining in your jeans or a Tux and still feel comfortable. Never know which local area celebrities will show up. Valet parking available.
It's OK ... but Romantic ???. I recently had dinner here with a small group and the food was good, not great but good. Then I saw it listed as #2 on the list of Romantic spots and have to set the record straight ... this place is almost the antithesis of Romantic dining. From the outside it looks like the world's largest log cabin. Inside there are a number of different seating areas and the deck mentioned in one of the other reviews (a view in one direction of some grasslands and in another of the Twinsburg Chrysler Plant across the road). I didn't notice any quiet areas suitable for gazing into that special someone's eyes, and even if there were, I'm sure your lively attentive server would interrup such a connection more then once. Bottom line is that the place had the feel of an mid to upper level chain ... the food was mid level the prices very upper ... and avoid the nachos appetizer ...
Check it out. We stumbled upon this restaurant while on a Sunday afternoon motorcycle ride and decided to check it out. It is on a hillside with beautiful views off the the wrap around deck. It has a rustic decor with a couple of fireplaces and an open kitchen. We enjoyed drinks and the raw bar in the lounge. The food very good and the staff excellent. I would like to go back another time for dinner.
Wow!!!!!. This is a place not to miss, The food is some of the best i have had in all of my travels.
